A spa in the Netherlands / un spa en Holanda

Our friends couldn't believe it but we did it: we went to a spa in the Netherlands!

Where's the difficulty? you may think… A spa is always a nice place to relax where you can get massages, treatments and enjoy the curative powers of mineral waters. Yes, you do all that… but the difference between a spa in the Netherlands a spa in Spain relies on the dress code. How should I put it… the dress code is kind of strict in the spa centres in Holland and surprise, surprise, the code is no dress at all. So yes, my dear friends, it's either your birthday suit or no entry.

The first experience can be a bit shocking but after a while you start feeling it's all natural and it's much less erotic than what you would expect. Despite this, I have to confess that whenever I go to a spa here there's a constant thought in my head: "Please, I don't want to meet anybody I know!"

Nuestros amigos no nos creían pero lo hicimos: ¡fuimos a un spa en Holanda! 

¿Dónde está la dificultad? podréis pensar… Un spa es siempre un sitio estupendo donde relajarse y donde disfrutar de masajes, tratamientos y de los poderes curativos de las aguas de manantiales. Sí, todo eso es cierto, pero la diferencia entre un spa en Holanda y un spa en España está en el código de vestimenta. Cómo os lo explicaría… El código de vestimenta es tremendamente estricto y ¡oh, sorpresa! el código es de vestimenta ninguna, cero, nada. Sí, mis queridos amiguitos… o vas como viniste al mundo o no entras. 

La primera experiencia puede ser un poco chocante pero después de un rato empiezas a pensar que es todo natural y mucho menos erótico de lo que creías en un principio. A pesar de esto, tengo que confesar que siempre que voy a un spa tengo un único y constante pensamiento en la cabeza: "Por favor, ¡no quiero encontrarme con nadie conocido!"
